The Upsala Blue Jays started the 2012 Victory League season on the right foot with a big 16-0 win over Flensburg on Sunday.  The Blue Jays pounded out 17 hits in route to the win over the Falcons.  The offense was led by a trio of Jays with 3 hits.  Justin Lampert went 3-5 with 5 RBI and a pair of homeruns.  Matt Swanson went 3-4 with 4 RBI.  And Ben Burggraff went 3-4 with a double.  Scott Biniek went 2-2 with a couple walks and drove in a pair while scoring 4 times.  The Jays plated 2 in the 1st, 3 in the 2nd, and 10 in the 4th to blow the game open.  The Blue Jays turned a couple double plays behind the pitching of Matt Swanson and John Fuchs.  Swanson went 5 innings yielding only a lead off hit in the 1st.  Swanson struck out 9 while walking 4 and hitting a batter.  Fuchs finished up tossing 2 scoreless innings with a couple strikeouts.  With the win, Upsala moves to 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in league play.  For more on the game and the results from the entire week-end, visit the Victory League web site.  The Blue Jays travel to Crosby next weekend to take on Cuyuna Range Miners.
