The Upsala Blue Jays jumped out quick against the Cuyuna Range Miners this past weekend and never looked back.  The Jays scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning to take an early lead, and the combined pitching efforts of Brock Cichon, Chris Ripplinger, and Eric Lampert would hold the Miners offense to just one run and three hits.  Dustin Biniek, Brock Cichon, Brady Burggraff, Justin Lampert, Eric Lampert, Brandon Welinski and Adam Gerads all had multi-hit games to lead Upsala to the 14-1 victory.

Next up for the Jays is a meeting with West Division rival Sobieski Skis.  Sobieski comes in at 9-1 in VL play, while the Blue Jays are 6-3.  The game is scheduled for a 1:30 start in Upsala.
