Since 1987 The Upsala Blue Jays have been playing as a baseball team. And since 1987, the Upsala Blue Jays have chased the dream of playing in a State Tournament. Saturday in Avon, for the first time since 1994, the Jays played in a game with a birth on the line. And Saturday, the dream finally came true.
For all the players and people involved with the team since 1987, this one day captured what we have been playing for. And for all that have played and will play in future, this will be a day that will never be forgotten. The Jays took out St. Stephen 8-3 and with it advance to Delano/Maple Lake for the 2013 State Tournament. The Jays fell in a seeding game on Sunday to Lastrup 5-1 and will enter as the 4th seed from Region 8C. Check out the links below for write-ups from each game.

The Region 8C Tournament concludes this week-end in Avon with the Championship game or games with fellow West Division member Sobieski taking on Avon in a rematch from 2012. The Blue Jays will take the week-end off and play next in Delano on Saturday, August 17th @ 4:00 versus the second seed from Region 16C. Check back for updates on when the opponent has been decided. Come out and support the home town team. The team is grateful for the support so far and looks forward to advancing with their fans. This team belongs to the town of Upsala and should be something we are all proud of.
