THERE IS A NEW BEAN-YACK'S THOUGHTS 7/10/12-
After finishing the regular season with a win and a 3rd place finish in the Victory League West, the Upsala Blue Jays start post-season play this coming weekend. The Jays finished an up and down regular season with 7-7 league record well going 10-8 overall. Now the records are out the window as the Blue Jays look to join Sobieski as the West Division representatives to the Class C Region 8-C tournament.
Upsala will open the playoffs in Freeport on Saturday, July 14 for a 1:30 start versus the second seeded Black Sox. Freeport took both match-ups in the regular season and finished at 11-3 in league play. In the other match-up, 4th seeded Randall will travel to top seeded Sobieski also for a 1:30 start. On Sunday, the two winners will play and the two losers will play. The game sites will be at the higher seeded teams and games will start at 1:30.
