The Upsala Blue Jays took part in the Stearns County Classic this past weekend, which is hosted annually by St. Martin and Lake Henry,  The Jays ran into a little tough luck, as Upsala lost all 3 games in which the team played in the tournament.  On Saturday, the Blue Jays dropped games to St. Martin (5-4 score) and the Cold Spring Rockies (5-0 score).  On Sunday, the Jays lost to Regal by an 11-9 final.  

The Blue Jays are back in action this coming weekend with a pair of league games.  On Friday evening, Upsala will play St. Stephen in a make-up game from a May 20th postponement.  The game will be played under the lights in Freeport at 7 PM Friday evening.  On Sunday, the Blue Jays will travel to West Division rival Sobieski.  Both teams are currently 7-0 in league play, which means regardless of the results of the St. Stephen game on Friday, the winner of Sunday's game in Sobieski will take over sole possession of first place in the division standings.  First pitch is slated for 1:30 on Sunday afternoon in Sobieski.
